Today, a Memorial Service for Sir Christopher Meyer will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge. Christopher – who served as a trustee of Parents and Abducted Children Together (later renamed Action Against Abduction) from 2009 to 2005 – passed away in Megève, France in July.
Christopher was the husband of Baroness Catherine Meyer, founder of Action Against Abduction. A former Ambassador to the United States and Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission, he brought drive and a wealth of experience and wisdom to the charity, together with his characteristic warmth and charm.
‘Sir Socks’ will always be fondly remembered by everyone at Action Against Abduction. Our thoughts today are with Catherine and his family.
